So, I've been looking around for inspiration for an arm sleeve tattoo for a while now, and then suddenly remembered I am a member of the greatest art community on Earth - DA.
Here's the deal then - If you think you have the skills to create a one-of-a-kind, original tattoo based on the following few specs, Post it here. I will take the best creation, have it inked, photograph it, and post it with credit to your DA profile. I will also buy a print of it to add a little financial incentive to the deal
Think you have what it takes to create an indelible mark on another human's skin? Then start thinking about this:
Subject: Male, 32
Size: 3/4 sleeve, from just above the neckline, over the left shoulder, down to half-way between shoulder and elbow.
Themes: I love the idea of creeper vines combined with cybernetic elements, kind of plant breeds with machine. Think vines intertwined with cables, fiber optics, etc. Mixes of tribal themes and styles with cyber themes also encouraged.
Colours - Black and White, primarily. Colour accents will be considered if you can make them work.
Get creative! All entries will be featured in a journal specifically for the contest. Also, this will be my first (and potentially last) tattoo, so it will have to be something truly unique.
I really look forward to seeing what the DA community can do!!!

I'm back in the blogosphere
I have started a new pet project called Brave Little Meme. http://bravelittlememe.tumblr.com. The mini-blog will be mostly tech focussed, but I plan to regularly feature a DA artist in the midst of it. If you have time to check it out I'd like to know what you think.
Tatoo Challenge
I may be crazy for doing this, but I consider it a sort of experiment. I am commissioning a Tattoo from the DA community which I plan to have inked on my own skin. What better place than here to get a truly unique work of art worthy of being forever captured on one's own skin?
If you think you have that it takes, check this thread for details:

Shootin' Cars
Just after coming back from Scotland, where I came across some lovely classic cars to photograph as I attended a great wedding, my mate asked me to shoot his new Lotus Exige. I think you'll agree with me that beautiful cars and HDR go very well together. There's something about the reflections in a car's metal surfaces that make it a perfect vehicle (no pun intended) for High Dynamic Range photography.
I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the results. You?
I Got Married!!
After two and a half blissful years of being together, my stunning fiancee' Sarah is now my gorgeous wife. We had a fantastic ceremony and a superb feast, in a day I'll never forget.
I'm truly over the moon :)
